Two years ago labour gave the police force the power to take and auction off any vehicle caught on the road without insurance. GOOD i hear you say there only doing it for our benerfit so when that rogue runs into our vehicles we know they are covered. This wouldnt be a problem only within the last two years insurance premiums have nearly doubled so that alot of people have become unable two afford the rates. YOU WORK IT OUT, they also take your vehicle without tax, i bet it wasnt only my reminder that came 3 weeks late from D.V.L.A, why do you think theres been such an amount of police on spot checks lately, especially round the school run times, they say they crush them yet if you scrap a car now the scrapman will give you as much as £80.00 for it, wouldnt think he'd pay with the amount the police are giving him would you. Your car is being stolen from you and then sold with the funds going to the police force in order to pay for it.
